COMMISSIONS
"A great portrait transforms fleeting moments into lasting legacies."
To commission a painting is to create something deeply personal, a unique collaboration that results in more than just a work of art. It becomes a testament to your story, your values, or your vision. My role is to guide you through this process, ensuring the finished piece not only reflects your individuality but also resonates on a profoundly meaningful level.
Why Choose Me?
Choosing the right artist is essential. Here’s what sets me apart.
Classical Expertise with Contemporary Insight: As a classically trained realist painter, I combine time-honoured techniques with a modern sensibility, creating works that are both timeless and relevant.
Proven Track Record: My work has been commissioned by Sky, Netflix, CNBC, and Soho House. I’ve also painted a number of high-profile sitters, including author Emma Dabiri, poet Lemn Sissay and musician Pete Briquette.

Personalised Process: I take the time to understand your vision and story, ensuring that the artwork is uniquely yours.
Uncompromising Craftsmanship: Using only the finest archival-grade materials, I create pieces that are built to endure and inspire for generations.

Exploring Your Vision
We’ll begin with a conversation. Whether it’s a portrait, a narrative piece, or something entirely unexpected, this is where we’ll shape your ideas into a clear concept. Together, we’ll define:
The Subject: Who or what will take centre stage in the work?
The Medium: I work exclusively in oil paint. This choice reflects my commitment to a medium that offers unmatched richness, depth, and subtlety.
The Scale: Will it be a bold statement for a grand space or an intimate piece for a quiet corner?
Due to the detailed nature of my work, I take on only a select number of commissions each year. Early enquiries are always recommended to secure a place on my waiting list.
Bringing Your Vision to Life
Once we’ve clarified your ideas, I begin the creative process, ensuring every detail aligns with our shared vision:
Personal Connection: I visit your home or a meaningful location to capture reference photos and sketches. This step ensures I can translate the essence of the subject and setting into the artwork.
Updates Throughout: As I work, I’ll share selected updates to give you insight into the painting’s progress. This helps to maintain transparency and excitement as your piece takes shape.
The Final Unveiling: The most rewarding moment is seeing the finished painting in all its depth and detail.

When the painting is complete, every detail is meticulously finished to ensure it’s ready to be enjoyed:
